Blue Lagoon – Lagoa Azul – Best diving destinations in Sao Tome and Principe

With an easy shore entry decorated with towering baobab trees along the sea edge, its truly a special dive spot and brings together the most tropical parts of Sao Tome.
Home to a mixture of both tropical coral and marine life typical of the Atlantic. Something particularily rare. Asides from the multitude of seahorses, you can also spot moray eels and one or two electric rays!
The further on your dive, you can enjoy slightly strong currents, thermoclines and the marine life that reside. Listen out to the call of the dolphin in the distance, watch out for large coral whips that become denser the deep you go and the reef itself starts to seem small in comparaison.
On the way back, get ready to fly over the reef in search of nudibranchs, tiny seahorses and incredible colours at shallow depth.
